On 11 May in Kędzierzyn-Koźl Youth of All Poland organized the March of the Memory of Heroes of the conflict of Kędzierzyn on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of the event.
The celebrations were started by Mass in the church of St. Eugeniusz de Mazenod at 6:00 p.m. in Pogorzelec Settlement. Dean Krzysztof Jurewicz OMI during the lecture reminded the past of the event and thanked the organizers for taking this initiative, quoting quotes from St John Paul II about patriotism. At 19:10 a.m., a march to the Monument of the Silesian Insurgents took place in Piotr Skargi Street. At the head of the walk there was a banner with the inscription “Polish You”, which refers to the banner of the Silesian Insurgents, located present in the Museum of Insurgency Action in St. Anne's Mountain.
There was a reading of the Memorial Appeal, the presentation of the nativity scene and the race prepared by the All-Polish Youth and fans of Chemik Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The co-organizer of the event was the Patriotic Society Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The event was celebrated by about 100 people. It was the first specified initiative in the city and in the future there will be another march to honor those who fought for the Polishness of Opole Silesia.
