President Karol Nawrockand announced on Thursday that he had decided to veto the amendment of the Act on the National Judicial Council, which assumes the election of the judges of the Council members by all judges.

The Act is manifestly incompatible with the Constitution and could be a tool to remove the judges whose current power fears - stressed the President.

Amendment of the Act on the National Judicial Council

Revision of the KRS Act and the related fresh of the Electoral Code of the Sejm passed on 23 January, 5 days later the legislature accepted it without amendment.
