Little Smolensk in Toruń
date:09 August 2025 Editor: Editorial

If I had to choose 1 event, which, as in the lens, shows Poland of the Year 2025, I would point to the killing of Claudia from Toruń by an immigrant from Venezuela.

Little Smolensk in Toruń

As we read on the website Ordo iuris: “On the night of 11 to 12 June 2025 in Toruń, a 24-year-old Claudia K., a PhD student at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, was the victim of a violent attack. In the park, Glasia was attacked by a 19-year-old immigrant from Venezuela who was staying illegally in Poland – his tourist visa expired a fewer months earlier, but was not effectively controlled by the migration services. The assailant had stabbed Claudia with multiple stab wounds to the head, neck, and chest, and severely mutilated her in an effort to deprive her of sight. According to forensics, the motive for the attack was sexual. A young female fought for her life in infirmary for 2 weeks, but died on June 27, 2025 – about which the public was only informed 3 days later.” https://ordoiuris.pl/civilization/time-to-change-awareness-mass-immigration-is-real-risk-for-Polish/

And the cross set in the interior request for God to hear them in advanced heaven

When news of Claudia's death reached the public (I remember that the first information on this subject was posted by random people on Facebook, later only professional media, the inhabitants of Toruń went on a march of silence to Glasia Park, where the immigrant attacked. The inhabitants of Toruń put a wooden cross on the edge of the park, and the pictures show that there is besides a white – red scarf with the inscription Poland.

There's nothing more you can do for her. There is no more beautiful monument than the Cross, which in our Christian culture symbolizes everything: the deficiency of space in Bethlehem, the hidden life in Nazareth, the Passion and the Death of the Lord Jesus, our share in His Resurrection, the white Martyrs' Order from the pages of Revelation. Nor could it be done any less, due to the fact that each or almost all 1 of us will remainder under the Cross.
The cross in the Toruń park of Glasia reminded me of the words of the ballad of Jan Pietrzak, entitled “On April 10th...”:
"People at the Palace came together the Presidential,

They put flowers, lit candles,

And they put the cross in loving need,

So that God may hear them in advanced heaven.”

On Saturday 19 July 2025, demonstrations against immigrants were held nationwide. https://solidarni2010.pl/45360-8222stop-immigration8221---protested- hundreds-thousand-polakow.html
The 1 I went to started with a minute of silence for Claudia. I am not saying, of course, that the full protest against immigrants was mournful, that no slogans against immigration were raised, and that speakers did not offer prescriptions to solve the problem of increasing crime. Unlike the celebrations commemorating the Smolensk Crime Victims, no prayer was prayed. There was a minute of silence. possibly it is simply a task for us to carry the unspoken words of prayer “Eternal rest...” to our homes and parishes.

When we stood in protest against immigrants, lefties protested against us across the street. I didn't see any of them that had different skin colors than white ones. The immigrants did not come to show that they do not pose any threat to Polish women, do not participate in our political life, do not go to the Church. I wonder if among our countermanifests there were besides those who painted on the walls of the centre of our city in autumn 2020 the slogan “Women's Hell” with full police inaction.
As I looked at our countermanifests again, I remembered the words "Ballada on April 10th":
“A bunch of bullies came to this cross,

They utilized to do drugs and make eggs,

The vile barbarians were muddy

Those who prayed for victims of crime.”

There was no area for you.

While hatred of the late Lech Kaczyński, even though she remained in apparent contradiction with any European culture, it is reasonable to explain even the desire to guarantee the election triumph of Bronisław Komorowski, the obstruction of tribute to the murdered doctoral student escapes rational explanation. Perpetually immortalized by Ewa Stankiewicz and Jan Więszalski, antiheroes of the documentary movie “Krzyż” could explain that the Polish delegation to Katyń was killed in an accidental disaster, for which no 1 is responsible, yet that they are not specialists in aviation disasters, and that the explanation of the causes of the disaster should be left to experts. The circumstances of another crime committed in our country by an immigrant are clear.
Although the murdered Claudia cannot be attributed to contributing to her death by even the slightest carelessness (she did not effort to become a volunteer at an immigrant hotel for example, she did not enter a hostel inhabited by immigrants as quartered in a hostel by Georgian Mamuk Ketsuriani in October 2023 by Paulin of Łódź, she did not effort to give a ride to an immigrant like Anastasia murdered on the Greek island of Kos by Salahuddin S. - an immigrant from Bangladesh) it is hard not to announcement that she would not have been murdered if she had not had to return from work at night. In another words, Claudia would be alive if she could find a different, better occupation than a bartender.
Somehow she realized the modern ideal: she knew abroad languages, she was talented, she wrote her doctorate, she did a simple, average occupation like us. Meanwhile, the killer was a troublemaker and spent time mainly playing video games https://pch24.pl/culisy-murdering-24-year-olds-with-torunia-scale-violentity-fear/
Before the outbreak of planet War II, talented students, specified as Stanisław Wigura, built airplanes during their studies. https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanis%C5%82aw_Wigura This was possible due to the fact that there was a Polish manufacture that could already usage the cognition passed to them in college, while at the same time providing the chance to gain experience.
Even during his stay in the concentration camp, it was apparent that Polish intelligence had to be saved, as indicated by Pope John Paul II's friend Wanda Połtawska in his memoirs with Ravensbríčck: "No 1 accepted us, they found an organized camp and a perfectly close Polish group that adopted them at once. We were later accused of the fact that “kings” [the camp word of prisoners who were victims of German pseudomedical experiments – short for “experiential rabbits” – B.L.) saved only Warsaw's intelligence. That wasn't precisely true. With the vulnerability of our own skin we tried to aid everyone, but sometimes... hands fell down.” [Wanda Połtawska “I fear dreams” Wydawnictwo St. Paul 2009 p. 136]. In today's Poland, a PhD student (so individual who has already won a master's degree) can number on working in a bar. Why couldn't she have joined any corporations after she finished English philology? This fact is already a disgrace for Poland in which we live.
Mass immigration was justified from the beginning by the deficiency of labour in Poland. The sarcastic notion of immigrants as "engineers and doctors" that entered the common language reflects the common belief that immigrants have very low or no qualifications. Nor does the problem of low qualifications solve their mass education at national universities, in peculiar through the existing language barrier. Doubtful, who live in a university city, I propose a simple experiment, that in the university library or its immediate distance they effort to exchange at least a fewer words in Polish with passing students of different skin color. It is interesting how students who are incapable to talk even a fewer words in Polish end the law, for example, which requires cognition of Polish laws, and textbooks and technological publications in English are uncommon (which can be easy checked on the Wolters Kluwer and CH Beck legal publications website). Discrimination of Polish students by university authorities has already been the subject of protests of the All-Polish Youth https://kresy.pl/events/polacy-discriminate-in-Polish-school-alarms-youth-from-allerms/
At the same time, at the time of beginning up our labour marketplace for immigrants (also from Ukraine), it had to be apparent to the rulers that the economical situation is changing in time, and so in the foreseeable future, young Poles will have no work due to the fact that foreigners will execute it. The expected and apparent effect of unemployment of Poles is already beginning to occur. html
All of this had to go through Claudia. Despite the abilities he could only dream of, there was no decent work for her. There was no equal chance in college. State authorities (police, prosecutors) hid for 3 days Her death, which brings to head the secret night burial shot in December 1970 by Zbyszek Godlewski, immortalized by Krzysztof Dowgialla in "Ballad about Janek Wiśniewski". He was on his way to work and he died at a bus stop, she met her killer on her way back from work, walking through the park.
This time, alternatively of the Gdynia Świętojanska, participants of the march went from the Old Town Square in Toruń to the Glasia Park. alternatively of the door, they carried the Cross.

In search of good and hardworking journalists

In 1 of the most important, in my opinion, texts on the Solidarnych 2010 web page entitled "Three Martyrs" https://solidarni2010.pl/41382-third-machchenci.html Marek Baterowicz pointed out to us present the martyrs, the inaction of the then power and justice system. Mark Baterowicz's text should, in my opinion, prompt any writer to undertake a journalistic inquiry, or at least effort to meet witnesses of the incidental and those among whom the murdered experienced their regular life.
A successful effort at a journalistic investigation into the execution of Fr Stefan Niedziela was made by Zbigniew Branach, who described its results in an excellent book "The Crime at Powązkowska". Writing the study surely required large work, getting acquainted with the investigation materials and gathering witnesses, did not let for detection and conviction of perpetrators, but allowed us to get closer to the truth.
Although we live faster and little accurately. This writer differs from the propagandist that he meets witnesses of events (and does not fabricate meetings with alleged witnesses), and then recounts them to his readers. Only in this way can he save them from oblivion, including those who have remained only in someone's memory.
It would be beautiful to remember in the era of media information in six months, in a year and in 10 years about Claudia from Toruń as our ancestors remembered about Karolina Kózkin or Janek Wiśniewski. If we hadn't let the dead die, who are already looking at us from heaven.
