The atomic power plant occupied by Russia, in the south-east of Ukraine, lost its connection to the external power supply line, and is now only on its only reserve line," the global Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Tuesday.
"The Director-General (agency) Rafael Grossi said the IAEA initiates talks with both parties [conflict] about agreeing a local ceasefire to let for the repair of the damaged line," the IAEA communication on Platform X states.
Since the start of the full-scale war against Russia in February 2022 Ukraine has been repeatedly agreed on a local ceasefire to repair damaged high-voltage lines.
