The 226-centimeter Ziyu Zhang scored a successful debut in the professional Chinese WCBA basketball league. The 18-year-old midfielder scored 15 points and her squad won 106:93.
Zhang entered the bench and in just 12 minutes added six rebounds, an awesome projection effect. Coach Hou Bing stressed after the game that the young player rapidly adapts to elder basketball, although he inactive needs time to full find himself in the intense reality of the league.
Zhang had already drawn attention to herself during the Asian youth championship, where she became MVP after an excellent final with Australia. Called the "moving large Wall", the basketball player is already considered 1 of the future stars – besides in the context of the WNBA draft.
