This information is simply a major change in Luxembourg's purchasing policy, whose army has operated only on Dingo 2, Eagle V and HMMWV vehicles so far. The country plans to acquisition a full of 38 EBRC Jaguar wheeled combat vehicles, 16 VBMR Griffon armored wheeled transporters and 5 VBMR-L Serwal armoured vehicles. Their supply would last from 2028 to 33, and the planned operation would be the minimum of 2025. They are expected to scope the formed Belgian-Luxembourg reconnaissance battalion to be established by 2030 and to scope operational readiness after 24 months. This is intended to increase Luxembourg's commitment to NATO's and the EU's defence efforts, although it was originally intended to designate only Eagle V vehicles. The acquisition of French wagons will besides supply greater interoperability with the Armed Forces of France and Belgium, which besides have/will have specified vehicles.
