“Gazeta Polska” club from Łuk on the 45th anniversary of Solidarity in Gdańsk
W days of celebration of the 45th anniversary of the founding of the NSZZZ “Solidarity”, delegation The club “Gazeta Polska” from Łukowa was pleased to participate in celebrations held in the historical OSH of the Shipyard Gdańsk, a symbolic place for the Polish road to freedom.
W the event was attended, among others, by the president of Poland Karol Nawrocki, former President Andrzej Duda and president NSZZ “Solidarity” Piotr Duda. During the gathering we had the chance to talk to the president Peter Duda on the current challenges facing the union and the importance of the heritage of Solidarity for contemporary Poland.
Celebrations were not only solemn, but reflective, that Solidarity values, specified as responsibility, community and concern about the another man, they stay valid besides today. In progress events were besides presented to youth scholarships from the Fund Scholarship NSZZ "Solidarity", which highlighted the continuity of generations and the importance of education in a spirit of solidarity.
For our club it was not only an chance to celebrate an crucial anniversary, but besides to meet with leaders of public life and exchange views in a place where the past of Poland took a fresh direction.
