He sentenced 10 foreigners, members of a criminal group, to prison sentences for organizing illegal crossing of the Polish border to 225 migrants from Asia and Africa.
They were carried through the green border with Belarus and then exported to EU countries.
On Thursday, Proc. Marek Zych announced the judgment.
The court sentenced 10 accused foreigners to prison sentences of different dimensions – from 1 year and 1 period to 2 years and 2 months.
Crimes occurred at the turn of 2024 and 2025. The court found that the defendants had organised an illegal crossing of Poland's border with Belarus for at least 225 citizens of Afghanistan, Iraq, the muslim Republic of Pakistan and another Asian and African states.
The convicts are citizens of Turkmenistan and Ukraine. The Court of First Instance considered that they were acting to get a property benefit, in different individual configurations.
