The appointment of the Lower Silesian Armed Forces Group was announced present in Wrocław by Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. It will bring together both manufacture companies and companies that would like to invest in the defence industry. The letter of intent on this substance was signed by the Polish Armed Forces Group SA and the regional government.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz took part in the Lower Silesian Local Government legislature in Wrocław today. The intention of setting up a regional arms group was announced during a gathering with journalists. A letter of intent was signed in this case soon, too. Countries that want to usage money must prepare national defence investment plans by 30 November. We will usage the money obtained through the program by investing in Polish companies. We intend to direct orders to both the state manufacture and private companies," he adds.
During the briefing Kosiniak-Kamysz besides recalled that the legislature itself takes place at the Wrocław airport, which is undergoing a thorough modernization. The investment includes, among another things, the construction of a fresh apron for aircraft, the reconstruction of taxiway or the creation of a fast exit from the runway. This will increase the capacity of the airport. It will be able to service more passengers, but besides more frequently accept military aircraft – primarily machines belonging to the US Air Force. Wrocław airport serves Americans to shift troops and equipment to the east flank of NATO. "The current work is simply a dual usage investment, i.e. dual use," stressed the Deputy Prime Minister. After the convention ended, he concluded on page X: “We in Wroclaw... we discussed the most crucial things today: the safety of the state, the energy of the future and the resilience of our local communities.
