Love – Not Death! Appeal to Members

Dear Member, on November 8th, choose love!

The Polish Association of Defenders of Human Life calls on Members to reject the bill of decriminalization of abortion at first reading. The task is incompatible with constitutional standards for the protection of human life from conception and as a consequence with the 1997 and 2020 Constitutional Court rulings.

The Left Club task re-uses the category of "women's wellness threats", which, at a wide explanation by the Ministry of Health, actually allows abortion for psychosocial reasons above 12 weeks of pregnancy, without criminal sanctions. The task besides restores eugenic abortion. Diagnosis of disability cannot be the basis for a decision to kill a man. Legally sanctioned eugenic mentality stigmatizes and leads to social exclusion of already born persons with disabilities.

Organizations and pro-family movements anticipate from political forces in the Polish parliament a thorough reflection and comprehensive solutions in the area of pro-family policy, which will aid to overcome the disastrous demographic crisis of the state. It is crucial to increase backing for perinatal and perinatal care, especially the improvement of perinatal hospices.

Contrary to the apparent social needs and the failure of the wellness system, since the parliamentary elections in 2023, we have observed an intensification of political actions which do not rise the level of perinatal care in Poland, thus the wellness safety of women and their unborn children, but focus solely on shaping pro-abortion attitudes and beginning wide access to abortion on a mass scale, besides in violation of the law.

Thanks to the adoption of a bill in the erstwhile word of the Sejm introducing the provision of support and abolishing the ban on work for parents receiving care, the situation of families raising seriously sick children has improved significantly. Work should be continued on the improvement of assistance for families, not on the abortion of people with disabilities.

Last year's proposals for decriminalisation of abortion have become a tool for political force against MPs and political groups, which, taking into account the achievements of modern perinatal medicine, defend the life of an unborn child. We read the current legislative work not only as another effort to change the legal guarantees in force in Poland, but besides mainly as a means of exerting force on the Polish People's organization and focusing on social frustration, resulting from the erroneous home policy of the state in another areas, on the MPs of this group.

Today, there is no uncertainty that the public dissatisfaction of government in various economical policy areas has increased dramatically in fresh months. Abortive projects are designed to channel negative social emotions and identify the coalitionist on which many failures are to be submitted. It is the members of the government coalition groups opposed to abortion "on demand", who are to be presented as liable for blocking any beneficial social and economical change.

Meanwhile, Members voting against decriminalisation of abortion defend not only children's lives, the welfare of women and families, but besides uphold the regulation of law, whose primary measurement is the right to life. all kid needs love, especially sick and with disabilities. For this reason, we ask all Members, in a peculiar way the United Right and the Polish People's Party, to choose love in these days!
