This information marks a further step in the capacity building of the Latvian arms manufacture for the Finnish 6x6 transporter, which is becoming an increasingly popular solution on the market. In January of that year, Latvian [EMJ Metals company received approval from Finnish company Patria](https://defence24.pl/industrial/aircraft-manufacturing-kadlubs-to-FIN-transporterov) to produce hulls for these vehicles. Minister of Defence of Latvia Andris Sprūds announced that by the end of the current calendar cycle will be delivered to the Latvian Army over 20 KTO Patria 6x6 (presumably 25 pieces). Ultimately, production per period is expected to be 30 transporters. Under the 2019 agreement, Latvia will get 200 KTO Patria 6x6 which will be delivered by 2029.
