[In mid-June the government](https://defence24.pl/force-arms/flight-double-number-new-bwp) Latvia has approved the acquisition of an additional 42 combat infantry wagons utilizing the ASCOD caterpillar platform, which would enable it to transform another battalion into modern equipment. A applicable executive agreement with General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) was concluded on 30 June, with a value of EUR 387 million in VAT. The vehicles acquired by Latvia will receive the name Hunter, and its production at a minimum of 30% will be located in the native industry.
