Over 1,000 soldiers of the Territorial Defence Army will be watching over the safety of 1 of the largest air events in Europe – AIR SHOW 2025 global Air Shows in Radom. The event, which will take place from 30 to 31 August, is to gather about 180 1000 viewers from all over Poland and abroad.
The main tasks of the Territorials will focus around the information service, which will be carried out by as many as 725 soldiers from six OT brigades: 2 Lublin, 5 Mazowieckie, 6 Mazowieckie, 9 Łódź, 10 Świętokrzyska and 18 Capital.
In yellow vests for safety
Soldiers equipped with characteristic yellow vests with the inscription "information service" will support participants of the event with knowledge, among others, about the organization of traffic or the deployment of medical, sanitary and catering points. They are all trained to supply first aid, emergency consequence and civilian detention rules.
6 Mazowiecka OT Brigade with key function during AIR SHOW
The biggest operational burden rests on the shoulders of the 6th Mazovia Territorial Defence Brigade, which will exposure as many as 475 soldiers for information service. Their presence is not only a substance of experience and readiness, but besides of location – Radom is the office of the brigade.
– The presence of our soldiers at AIR SHOW 2025 is not only an obligation, but besides a proof of social trust that we have been given. We feel a large responsibility, but besides a pride that we can take care of the safety of participants of specified a prestigious event. Our soldiers are prepared, professional and open to the needs of all viewer. I believe that one more time we will prove that the Territorial Defence Army is simply a modern, effective and realistic formation supporting citizens – both in regular action and during major mass events – says Colonel Witold Bubak, commander of the 6th Mazovian OT Brigade.
Shadow activities – logistics, safety and operational readiness
AIR SHOW is not only visible service – it is besides background work. Another 300 WOT soldiers will be active in logistics activities specified as transport, patrolling the area, deploying dams and fences separating the show region from the public or distributing meals. The WOT Ground Search and Rescue Teams will besides stay on advanced alert, which will be able to take immediate rescue measures if necessary. The soldiers were besides presented with educational and promotional tasks in the framework of the AIR SHOW, on which the equipment and weapons on the equipment of the Territorial Defence Army will be presented.
The global Aviation Show AIR SHOW 2025 will take place in a unique year – in the 100th anniversary of the formation of the School of Orląt, the current Military Academy in Dęblin. Representatives of the air force from more than 30 countries were invited to participate. All of this will take place with the full support of the Territorials. Their presence is simply a warrant that this spectacle will not only be spectacular, but above all safe.
