With the increasing ageing population of Hong Kong, this metropolis faces a serious shortage of workers.
Over the next 5 years, this shortage will emergence from 20,000 to over 40,000 vacancies.
During last week's press conference, representatives of the Hong Kong peculiar Administrative Region government announced a programme to at least partially address this problem. Above all, it is planned to increase labour imports to 20 000 people, including 12 000 for construction, 6.3 000 for air transport and 1.7 000 for public transport.
At the same time, changes to regulations are being introduced, thus expanding the anticipation of additional work for Hong Kong residents.
Lack of hands to work peculiarly affects construction, implementation of large public projects, including infrastructure projects, disrupts efficient metro service, airport expansion, infirmary work, implementation of self-government housing plans, etc.
Among public services, the deficiency of staff affects public transport in particular. There are not adequate minibus and urban bus drivers and tourist buses to disrupt the appropriate functioning of the full public transport strategy in Hong Kong.
The same problem is observed at the Hong Kong airport, where the deficiency of staff concerns all airport maintenance work. This is very felt by the increase in passenger traffic, especially tourism.
Analysts estimation that only by the end of next year the request for additional workers will increase from the current 53 000 to 69 000, which will consequence from economical acceleration, economical rebound after the pandemic period.
Hong Kong officials have announced that the full strategy of unequated and medium-skilled workers from abroad will be relaxed. They can be hired for 2 years. It's mostly about waiters, receptionists, cashiers, operators of simple devices, couriers, etc.

Port in Shanghai No.1
Two institutions, i.e. the planet Bank and the S&P Global marketplace Intelligence, published jointly developed, 3rd so far, the Global Container Port Performance Index 2022.
This is simply a ranking of the efficiency of operations of 348 container ports worldwide.
The first place was ShangHai YangShan Port (上海洋山).
To the top ten, they qualified:
- Ningbo ZhouShan (宁波舟山) – place 7
- GuangZhou Port (广州) on site 9.
Just outside the first 10 was a port in Hong Kong.

The Ministry of Public safety (公安部) issued a advice calling on public safety authorities across the country to oversee the comprehensive implementation of the stock issuance registration system. The Ministry calls on the authorities to make all effort to guarantee the efficient, comprehensive implementation of this strategy in order to effectively defend both the order of the capital marketplace and the interests of investors.
Law enforcement authorities should step up their efforts to combat and prevent securities trafficking offences.

Coffee or tea?
Coffee. The 2 largest cafe networks in China are inactive expanding the number of places where they service coffee (and more).
American Starbucks has over 6,200 cafes in 244 cities of China. By 2025, the company intends to have a network of 9,000 cafes.
The largest local competitor of Americans, or Luckin Coffee YeGong (瑞幸咖啡也公) has a network of 9351 cafes.
Cafés have been gaining quite a few popularity in the tea country for many years, especially among a generation of 20-, 30-year-olds.

New gold deposits
Geologists from ShanDong Gold Group Co. (山东省黄金集团公司) discovered in XiLing village (西岭) in ShanDong province(山东) the largest gold deposit in China
Their size is estimated at about 200 tonnes.
Geologists believe that more detailed investigation can confirm that there are as many as 580 tons of precious gold in this location.
In current prices, the minimum value of this gold is over 200 billion RMB (about PLN 119,864 billion).
Currently the commercial price of a gram of gold is 448.1 RMB (c. 268.5 PLN).
