This support is intended to aid counter Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy network during the winter. The head of the Defence Ministry announced that Kiev would receive "air defence systems, rockets and automated drone firing turrets". In his opinion, this investment "is a key aid to Ukrainians who defend their cities and energy infrastructure against the barbarian attacks of Russia".
