London says no to SAFE

SAFE (Security Action for Europe) is an instrument adopted in May 2025 worth EUR 150 billion to acquisition weapons and grow the Old Continent industrial and defence base. The first payments of the programme as part of the wider plan [ReArm Europe](https://defence24.pl/defence-defence policy/rearm-europe-Polish-Lithuania-and-Croatia-o-field-to-operation) are expected in the coming months. Non-EU countries, specified as Canada, Turkey and the United Kingdom, may besides join the programme.
