The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) is implementing a deep improvement of the strategy for acquiring modern military technologies. Its pillar is the consolidated UK Defence Innovation (UKDI) unit, which has officially presented 5 precedence areas of technological development. Backed by a guaranteed yearly budget of at least £400 million, the fresh structure aims to shorten the way of innovation from plan offices to the front line. All this in the face of increasing asymmetric threats and the request to adapt the lessons of the war in Ukraine.
