On 8 May 2026 in Warsaw, members of our club participated in celebrations on the occasion of the global Day of Nurses and Midwives and in the solemn Holy Mass celebrated by the cardinals. Grzegorz Ryś and connected with the 130th anniversary of the birth of Stanisława Leszczyńska.

Stanisława Leszczyńska came from Łódź, she was a midwife. During planet War II, she stayed in a women's camp in Auschwitz. The births she received were held in a barracks without a floor, on a stove, without water, without basic sanitary and medical materials. All children were born healthy and baptized by her. That's what her parent called her inmates and she frequently gave them her rations! After the liberation, Stanisław Leszczyńska returned to Łódź, where she worked as a midwife. She died in 1974. Its beatification process is presently underway.

We can say with pride that Stanisława Leszczyńska is the patron of our Polish paper Club Łódź II and among our members is Janusz, who came into the planet in Łódź as the second of twins and owes his life to the midwife, our patron of Stanisław Leszczyńska. Thanks to Janusz's testimony, thanks to His parent we could hear that Stanisława Leszczyńska, was marked by deep religion and prayer to Our Lady, which gave her the strength to fight for the life of newborns not only in the concentration camp! The communicative of a heroic midwife named Angel of Life could surely service as a screenplay for not 1 movie!

...The defeat of humanity begins at the minute erstwhile there is even 1 individual who disagrees with the sentence: “You must never kill children.. said Archbishop Adrian Galbas at the unveiling of the Stanisława Leszczyńska Memorial in Warsaw, which stood at the Fr Anna Mazowiecka Clinical infirmary (the alleged infirmary at the Karowa Metropolitan of Warsaw, he emphasized that the monument of the unbreakable midwife of the Polish heroine is not only to commemorate the history, but besides to “a way” reminding of unconditional protection of life!
