Lithuania has blacklisted 268 Russian citizens who participated in the war against Ukraine.
Lithuanian Minister of the Interior Władysław Kondratowicz stressed that Russian combatants pose a clear threat to the safety of the country.
On 11 March, the leaders of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Romania sent a joint letter to the European Commission and the European Council, which stressed that the Russian aggression war against Ukraine inactive changes the safety environment in Europe. It was stressed that 1 of the threats to EU safety was the movement in the Schengen area of erstwhile and current Russian soldiers who participated in the war in Ukraine.
Estonia was the first blacklist to include more than 1,000 names of Russian soldiers who participated in the fighting in Ukraine. Following this example, Lithuania entered data of 268 Russian citizens.
