The strategy makes it clear that Vilnius sees support for Kiev as an component of its own national security. As foreseen, the Lithuanian government plans to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP annually to Ukraine's safety and defence assistance. This appropriation is intended to cover further training of Ukrainian soldiers, supplies of military equipment and extended political and logistical support.
