Under an agreement of EUR 386 million signed in 2016, the Lithuanian army received 89 Vilkas (KTO Boxer + Samson Mk2 tower), 2 training vehicles, a stock of ammunition, training and logistics packages. These vehicles form part of 2 battalions within the Mechanized Brigade of the Iron Wolves. The last 23 Vilkas were delivered at the end of the year, although they were speculated to appear much earlier due to the fact that it was already summer. In this way, a alternatively turbulent period with the implementation of them into the Lithuanian army ends, as problems with Israeli towers were detected in 2020, including the power supply of cannons, fire control systems or reflection and customs equipment. This led to additional trials and repairs, which resulted in a crucial hold in transportation (originally expected to be completed in 2019).
