Ombudsman Marcin Wiązek addressed the Minister of Infrastructure on complaints from drivers who were charged additional charges due to the fact that they were not able to pay for parking in cash. The problem concerns areas where conventional parking lots have been removed, leaving only non-cash payment facilities. The Ministry of Infrastructure acknowledges that each driver should be given a real anticipation to pay a fee in cash – which may mean that the provisions of the Public Roads Act should be amended.
