
It is no secret: liberal and average formations lose to aggressive radicals not due to the fact that they deficiency right, but due to the fact that they play by rules they do not admit at all. Radicals have no brakes — neither mental, nor linguistic, nor ideological, nor cultural. They say and do things that for the another side are unthinkable, and thus effectively impose the rules of the game.
Democracy must yet halt pretending that it is equal to competition, and ask itself a serious question: should liberalism not defend itself by adapting to the rudeness of the extremist right?
