Liability for defective products

A supplier may be considered a maker if its name coincides with the trademark placed on the product by the manufacturer. In order to defend the consumer, joint and respective liability of the supplier and the actual maker of the defective product may arise even if the supplier has not placed its name, trademark or another distinguishing mark on the product.
