Lewicki: March and after the march

Last Sunday, the opposition march took place in Warsaw. In the intention of the organizers, it was to become a turning point in the political conflict before the next election.
It is worth considering who there has realized their plans, who has gained and who has lost at this event, and what its real meaning is.

Let's start with attendance. Prior to the march, any Platform politicians presented their godly wishes in this respect, calculated as a million participants. In fact, it came out much more modestly, and this number was more than 100,000, and possibly it reached 150,000 or even 200 thousand.
However, given that the Liberal opposition organization voted in the last election about 10 million people, this means that Donald Tusk was able, mobilising organization structures and making a large organizational and financial effort, to gather between 1 and 2 percent of his possible voters on the march. That's not much.
It should besides be noted that the march was supported by the rich local governments of large cities, which were in charge of the Platform, not to mention a number of NGOs financed from abroad sources. As you can see, the effect obtained, in relation to the effort involved, does not look awesome and, all the more so, cannot be said of any extraordinary bottom-up mobilisation.
In its fresh history, Poland has seen conventions of more than 1 million people, but they were not supporters of political trends consistent with the current direction of the liberal-left Tusk party.

Who is 1 of Donald Tusk's most extremist and snarling supporters today? Among them, I separate 2 groups that seem peculiarly motivated and give the impression that they are genuinely fighting for their own interests.
Some were erstwhile retired employees of the Ministry of abroad Affairs from the time of the Polish People's Republic. They were, by current governments, deprived of privileged pensions and aligned in rights with the full recipients. This sparked their rage and caused them to since then be among the most extremist opponents of the government that treated them so.
The second group are erstwhile artists, possibly more celebrities of the times of the Polish People's Republic, who were erstwhile considered elite, and now degraded and devoid of fructification and honors shed their frustrations in the form of a stream of vulgarisms.
Just before this march, 1 of those, erstwhile a good actor, activated himself with a steak of names. As counted, he utilized them, in respective sentences, until the 8th one, the current champion of democracy, was reminded present that he erstwhile wrote letters of flattery to General Kiszczak.

Never head them, however, due to the fact that the interesting thing is who actually benefited from this march. Whose plans do these events fit into?
It undoubtedly sets and confirms Donald Tusk's position as the most crucial figure of the alleged full opposition. This is crucial to him, due to the fact that there were serious discussions a fewer months ago about whether Tusk truly was the best figure to play this role.
A person, no little than Tusk, curious in putting him in the position of opposition leader is Jarosław Kaczyński, who seems to base his full election strategy on the presumption that he will come to wipe out in the election just with Tuski. He's prepared for it like a huntsman who, on his way to the rabbit hunt, takes the right weapon and bullets.
Hence, I was not amazed that erstwhile these doubts arose, whether Tusk was capable of being the leader of the opposition, and should be replaced with individual else, Kaczyński had someway rushed to his rescue, declaring that he could have a debate with him. This alone indicates that Kaczyński considers him the most crucial individual in opposition and wishes to know him.
In order to further strengthen these actions, the Law and Justice Department led to the creation of a commission to analyse Russian influences, which was widely recognised as an effort to identify Tusk as the main character of this drama.
In this sense, the march, which seems to already yet set the most crucial figures and choose the playing field according to the preferences of the main players, simultaneously meets Kaczyński's expectations and strategy.
This issue is the most important, and the politicians say that after this march nothing will be the same, that it is simply a breakthrough and a beginning, it is all just specified a swearing of reality, a regular effort to manipulate, like any polls to show any expected crucial changes in election preferences caused by this event.

But will the march rapidly go into oblivion? most likely many images and situations that took place there will live longer, possibly even until the elections, as they will become a origin of memes or polling spots, both 1 and the other. The opposition will show images showing crowds of their supporters, and on the another hand, why the Law and Justice would not usage the records of the vulgars appearing there to preserve, the inept effort to make the national anthem, as well as the Freudian mistake of Tusk, who, trying to simply mention to the gospel, promised his supporters that he would be with them until election day. I mean, no longer, that is, they should not anticipate to be dealing with their needs besides after they may have gained power through their votes.
Catholics are convinced that the 1 in whom they believe will be with them until the end of the world, and Tusk promised his acolytes that he would be with them only until election day. That's the difference.
And to mention the monologue of Lech Wałęsa, who called himself the Man of the Success of the Millennium, and whose rise, in the kind of a weak cabaret, the participants of the march did not even want to listen.
