Leviathan in the European Parliament: discussions on digital regulation and Europe's competitiveness

The discussion focused on regulatory stability, the request to foster innovation and the creation of conditions that will enable companies in Europe to compete effectively in global markets. Employers emphasise that it is precisely clear and consistently applied rules that are the cornerstone of investment and technological development. From a business perspective, it is vital that fresh regulations not only respond to the challenges of the digital sector, but besides actively support its innovation and contribute to economical growth.

Meetings were organised by the Leviathan delegation in Brussels. They were involved. King Graf, Deputy Director-General of the Leviathan Confederation for European Affairs, and Luana ŻakDeputy Directors of the Delegation.

During the talks, subjects related to dynamic developments in the digital technology sector and the importance of a coherent EU policy on innovation, safety and artificial intelligence were besides discussed. These are issues that will form the European debate in the coming months and which require the active participation of the business side.

Thank you to the Members of the European Parliament – Kamili Gasiuk-Pihovich, Michał Kobosko, Tobias Bochenski, Michael Szczerbie, Krzysztof Hetman and Peter Müller – for openness to dialog and readiness to include the voice of entrepreneurs in the legislative process.

Before Leviathan and its members, an intense period – many regulatory proposals will be submitted to the EU agenda in the autumn. Our activities in Brussels will focus on representing the interests of companies and creating the best possible conditions for the improvement of the Polish and European economies.
