Since the beginning of our activity, we have been a spokesperson for entrepreneurs – independent, professional and apolitical. And we'll stay that way. At a time erstwhile the economy is experiencing profound changes and crises, the voice of reason and competence is needed more than ever.
Recent years have been abounding in very hard events: the Covid-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, an unstable global situation. These experiences have shown that without a viable state, strong institutions of social dialog and partnerships in the economy, improvement becomes an illusion. Therefore, today, with even greater determination, we stand up for the values that have built the strength of Leviathan over the years – dialogue, professionalism and responsibility.
At the centre of our activity, the fight for a better right for entrepreneurs will inactive remain. The Polish economy is choked by overregulation, bureaucracy and legislative uncertainty. That is why we are constantly participating in the work for deregulation, both at national and European level. We aim to reduce administrative barriers, simplify procedures and reconstruct the assurance of the state in the citizen-entrepreneur. It's a essential condition to think about improvement at all.
We believe in the power of social dialogue, although we have no illusions about its current condition. Without Leviathan, this dialog would be even weaker – we started the Tripartite Commission, led to the creation of the Social dialog Council and present we advance its reform. Concrete measures are needed: real public consultation, strong economical policy coordination and the establishment of an economical Council at the Prime Minister. It is time for the authorities to yet realize – no substance what political camp it is from – that dialog with entrepreneurs is simply a necessity, not a password heated before the elections.
Our trademark has been professional for years. Leviathan's squad consists of top-class experts from many fields – law, economics, finance, social and EU policies. We have achieved a immense analytical achievements that supply real support for companies, public institutions and decision-makers. We plan to establish our own investigation and analytical institute, due to the fact that we believe that public debate is not about emotions, but about arguments, data and knowledge.
We will proceed to consistently support and advance the presence of women in business – Boards, supervisory boards and key decision-making positions. We know that diversity is not only a question of social justice but besides a real business asset. That is why we will lobby for systemic solutions that increase women's participation in the economy. This subject will be constantly present in our activities – equal access to different business positions is the foundation of a modern, open economy.
Nor can we let political calculations to weaken our position in Brussels. It is there that decisions are made that affect the business environment, the competitiveness of companies and our safety. We want to be more actively active in creating European law alternatively than passively implementing it. Thanks to our permanent presence in Brussels, for years we have been 1 of the most active representatives of the business environment from Central and east Europe. We will strive for the voice of Polish entrepreneurs to be heard and taken into account at all phase of EU negotiations. A strong, efficient and reformed Union is now a prerequisite for the improvement of exports, investment and innovation.
We are equally powerfully in favour of supporting Ukraine in its fight for freedom, peace and the European future. It is the moral work and strategical interest of Poland. The stableness of the full region, the future of our markets and the safety of our borders depend on the result of this war.
Although our roles are changing, we stay on a joint mission for entrepreneurs. As presidents of the Confederate Leviathan – the outgoing and fresh – we will together search to strengthen the position of our organization – in Poland and abroad. Our common goal is even stronger, even more effective Leviathan – as the voice of the full business environment, not only heard, but actually affecting the form of the economical policy of Poland and the European Union.
We believe that before the Confederate Leviathan another good chapter. Together with energy, experience and commitment, we will proceed to support Polish business effectively.
