Doctor Gizela Jagielska – the victim of physical assault, media assault and political intimidation – inactive cannot return to average working life. In the conversation between Piotr Nowak and Piotr Szumlewicz, the “From the Political Bottom” program shows a image of a state that cannot defend its own citizens from extremists. At the same time, politicians of the Confederation of the Polish Crown proceed to run hatred, and the government, despite the declaration, does not scope out to the doctor a helpful hand.

A country that does not defend victims

Gizela Jagielska, a gynaecologist from Lower Silesia, became a symbol of how easy it was in Poland to make the victim a "controversial figure". After she legally performed the abortion procedure, her infirmary was invaded by a group of activists Grzegorz Braun. The doctor was locked in an economical room, restricted her freedom, and then unleashed a violent hatred run against her.

The net compared it to Mengele, published hundreds of graphics, and utmost right-wing environments began to put force on hospitals not to hire her anywhere. The effect? Jagielska lost her job, and another institutions – threatened by pickets – withdrew from the interview.

Skalik and Braun: a policy of intimidation

In the conversation of Nowak and Szumlewicz, the thread of Włodzimierz Skalik – 1 of the most extremist activists of the Confederation of the Polish Crown – is peculiarly strong. Skalik publically announced that "after taking power" Jagielska would have nothing to look for in Poland. It's not just a threat, it's besides an effort to origin an effect of freezing against the full medical community.

Szmulewicz points out that the activities of Skalik and Braun are openly anti-state and pro-Russian. Their communicative – anti-EU, anti-Ukrainian, anti-female – has nothing to do with concern for public welfare. It's a policy of destabilization and intimidation.
Will Gizela Jagielska find a job?

Where are you?

However, the most bitter conclusions concern the reaction of public institutions. Although the prosecution is preparing charges against Braun, Jagielska remains alone. The government that declared support for women's rights did not offer her neither protection, nor work, nor even a symbolic motion of solidarity.

Nowak notes that if a akin situation were to a individual associated with Jarosław Kaczyński's camp, PiS would immediately put her in an exposed position – even to send a political signal. The current power does not show akin determination.

The tail that works

The most frightening thing is that chasing results. Hospitals – alternatively of taking the side of the law and their own workers – are under force from the far right. Jagielska becomes ‘controversial’ only due to the fact that she was chosen as a target.

This is simply a mechanics known from many countries: first attack, then isolation of the victim, and yet normalization of violence.

Venezuela, Maduro and Trump

In the second part of the program, the leaders analyse the spectacular kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro by American forces. Both journalists emphasize that it is simply a disgrace of the Venezuelan state, which, despite 30 million inhabitants and powerful natural resources, turned out to be a paper structure.

Maduro, in their opinion, led the country to decline: hyperinflation, the dollarisation of the economy, mass emigration and the disintegration of oil infrastructure are the consequence of years of incompetence and authoritarianism. The interview besides includes critic Donald Trump, who, following Maduro's capture, announced that "Venezuela will be ruled by Americans" – which the leaders consider a dangerous signal of imperial politics.

Also on the show about: criminals who fear Minister Żurek; Jaruzelska drinking tea with a racist; Donald Trumpie who violates national and global law; Romanowski who believes Tusk is "worse than Maduro".
