Legal transport or an effort at smuggling? Frenchman detained in Italy

Italian authorities detained a 46-year-old French citizen after 3 Akeron MP anti-tank combat missiles were found in his van. The man had arrived in Bari by ferry from Patras, Greece. The case is different in that the missiles were reportedly marked in a way suggesting they were simply training rounds. Investigators are now examining whether this was a legal transport of military equipment or an effort to smuggle weapons.
