Marine Le Pen, the leader of the parliamentary organization faction National Unity, is convinced that France has no vital interests in Ukraine.
She said that on the air of the France Inter radio station. "I don't think this is in France's vital interest," she said. According to Le Pen, "Ukraine cannot win without NATO's help". "Is it essential for NATO to go to war? My answer is no," she said.
The politician believes that “the only way to aid Kiev” is to support him, “to sit at a negotiating table with a strong position”. "This is not what the French government wants, so I disagree with his position [on this matter]," Le Pen said.
It considers it unacceptable that France should stay separate from any initiatives and discussions on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. "We know that negotiations are taking place present in any form. However, the problem is that they avoid France and Europe, Turkey and China. We stay separate from the [solve] conflict at our door, in which it would be essential to play our conventional function as mediators," he believes.
Commenting on the safety cooperation agreement signed in February between France and Ukraine, Le Pen expressed her opinion that "there should not be clauses to support Kiev's accession to the EU and NATO".
