Le Pen at a rally in her defense: the court cannot indicate candidates in elections

The utmost right-wing National Unity convened in Vauban Square a rally in defence of Marine Le Pen which, as a consequence of a judgement in a case concerning the fictitious employment of assistants of members of the utmost right to the European Parliament, cannot compete in the spring presidential election. At the rally, she argued that her conviction was a ‘political decision’, and she besides talked about ‘hunting witches’ and ‘offsets’ from democracy.
