For many years, awards have been awarded at the global Defence manufacture Salon for the most innovative and safer equipment. We are starting a presentation of the solutions highlighted this year. Polish radio station, rocket and ballistic contributions are constructions that the president, the head of the MON and the MSPO Program Council appreciated.
The flagship awards of the Kielce arms fair are known to all Defenders. But this is not the only honor of the global Defence manufacture Salon. For 13 years Special awards are besides presented by the President, the head of the Ministry of Defence and the Program Council of MSPO. What earned the honors of the head of state, the Minister of Defence and the most crucial Salon body this year?
Perad, or Polish radio station
According to the competition rules, the Head of the Polish Armed Forces grants his prize to a peculiar product, which best increases the level of safety of soldiers of the Polish Army. This year president Andrzej Duda decided that the award would go to Radmor S.A. company belonging to the WB Group, which produced the Perad 5010 individual wideband radio station.
As the representatives of the WB Group emphasize, this is the first Polish broadband radio station equipped with the Polish cryptographic system. This gives us full control of the system. We control the software, we control the equipment, no 1 will shut us down, it will not disturb us," emphasises Remigius Wilk, manager of communication for the WB Group.
The radio station can change the frequency of signal transmission 700 times per second, and thanks to the usage of battery wear limiting components it can operate without charging for 56 hours. Perad 5010 was constructed under the “Soldier of the Future” program codenamed “Titan”.
Amber
Next to the President's laurel, the second most valuable award of the Kielce fair is the peculiar award of the Minister of National Defence. Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz decided to honour the Łukasiewicz investigation Network – Institute of Aviation for the rocket ILR-33 Amber 2K.
Specialists at the Institute of Aviation emphasize that their construction is unique on a global scale. It is the only suborbital rocket that uses high-concentrated hydrogen peroxide, or popular oxidized water, as a fuel, specifically as an oxidiser. Which makes it most likely the world's first suborbital rocket acting on ecological propellant. Amber can carry loads of more than 100 km, i.e. beyond the alleged Karman line, which is the contractual boundary between the Earth's atmosphere and space. The plan developed by the Institute of Aviation is the first Polish rocket to scope this altitude, having the cargo and full fueled tanks. The breakthrough flight took place in July of that year.

Amber's innovation can contribute to the crucial improvement of the Polish space manufacture and the Polish defence industry, as the Minister of National Defence besides appreciated.
Warrior for better protection
This year he headed the Programme Council of the global Defence manufacture Salon and was appointed Deputy Minister of Defence in the Ministry for method Modernization (in fresh years he was the head of the Department of Armed Policy). Paweł Bejda, acting in this capacity, decided that the peculiar award of the MSPO Program Council would be awarded to BC Arms Sp. z o.o. for the line of ballistics contributions to bulletproof vests.
As the representatives of the Polish company emphasize, her ballistic contributions called “Warrior” stand out against the competition by opposition to the force of impact. – We have a regulation that no of our shields can bend under the influence of a projectile of more than 20 mm, while many of the standards for a given opposition class let even twice as much bend – explains 1 designer.
In order to make specified contributions, BC Arms utilized ballistic materials provided by the leader in this industry, the American company Honeywell. The first publically presented “Warrior” line consists of soft and hard inserts in all classes of immunity – K2 to K5.
Deputy Minister Paweł Bejda and the MSPO Programme Board appreciated the innovation of this solution.
