Flying tanker like a stealth fighter

This artistic imagination concerns the Next Generation Air-Refueling strategy (NGAS), in which Lockheed Martin participates. The chosen structure is to be put into service by 2040. In the meantime, the United States Air Force is expected to receive all ordered KC-46A Pegasus (contracted in 179 copies), and possibly besides about 150 ‘transitional’ aircraft. The second are besides to be chosen from the more classical aircraft structures. It will be another KC-46A Pegasus, Americanized Airbus A330 MRTT, or fresh machines based on the plan of a passenger or transport aircraft.
