More than 1.5 million inhabitants of Havana, Cuba's capital, suffered a major energy network failure on Thursday, and passed on independent media, besides noted drinking water shortages.
According to Radio Marti station, which has been on hold for respective hours of power supply interruptions in Havana only 2 days after the removal of the nationwide power grid failure that occurred on Monday.
The 4th failure was confirmed by the state-owned company EELH, which was liable for the transmission of electricity in Havana.
"Works have already been started to address the failure and reconstruct the supply of electricity", said EELH.
However, Radio Marti noted that power outages have paralyzed drinking water in many districts of Havana since the end of February. It indicated that there were more than 20 days of regular water supply breaks in respective districts of the city.
