My colleague Kuba Goss, a physicist, published a book of poems inspired by the mathematics “Spatial Poem”. 1 of the poems I found truly brilliant:
Discovery
Combined numbers
Make up
Of real part
And delusional.
Me, too.
What's delusional about us?
Surely our own thought of ourselves. We mostly whitewash our conduct, but there are those who justice themselves besides critically.
Also, the thought of others about us is almost always delusional - even our loved ones can only get closer to knowing us, but they will never full understand.
In physics, imaginary numbers are highly useful. They make it easier to calculate things as real as possible. A akin situation occurs with an imaginary part of our person, due to the fact that it can affect the real part.
