President Donald Trump extended the ban on entry into the United States to citizens of 5 more countries and persons holding papers issued by the Palestinian Authority. The list of countries subject to partial restrictions will besides change. As the White home says, these restrictions will enter into force on 1 January 2026, and their aim is to "protect the safety of the United States".
