On this unique and peculiar night, during the most crucial Eucharist throughout the liturgical year, 4 catechumens, after nearly 1 year of preparation, adopted sacraments of Christian initiation, i.e. the sacrament of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
The celebration began with the liturgy of light, during which the metropolitan of Łódź blessed the fire—the symbol of the manifestation of God, and then the Easter candle, or Passover, which is the symbol of Christ the Risen, was lit with fire. The priests and the faithful brought the light of Christ in a procession, after which the Easter Message, the Good News of Resurrection, was sung.
Priest Cardinal. Krajewski spoke in a homily of 2 women – Mary Magdalene and Mary parent of Jacob, who first met the Risen Lord.
