The solemn liturgy of Passover Eve,
which ended after midnight in St. James's Archatedal Basilica in Szczecin, was chaired by Fr. Archbishop Wiesław Śmigiel, Metropolitan of Szczecin-Kamiensk. During the liturgy, six adults, 1 female and 5 men, prepared in the Archdiocese Catechumenal Center, adopted the sacraments of Christian introduction.
The centre besides deals with people who have made an apostasy and want to return to the Church and who arrive
from year to year.
In Easter wishes to the Archdiocese
Fr. Archbishop Śmigiel wrote: “The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of our religion and gives hope that together with the Savior we can overcome sin, weakness, obstacles and life crises (cf. 1 Cor 15:12-18).
Saint Augustine wrote about God and man: “You created us [...] as directed towards you. And our heart is restless until it rests in you.” On the festival of resurrection, if we experience it with faith, we find confirmation of our choice of Christ
and the fulfillment of our deepest desires to ours
Life had meaning and was surrounded by God’s love. [...]
In a troubled world, I want God's peace! Let it first enter our hearts and homes, and then let it penetrate the life of the parish, social life, as well as relations between nations. It was beautifully written
in 1 of the prayers: “We know your fatherly love erstwhile you crush hard human hearts and in a planet torn apart by fighting and discord you make man ready for reconciliation. You, by the power of the Spirit, act in the depths of your heart, so that the enemies will shake hands and the peoples will come to unity. Your gift, Father, makes the sincere desire for peace quench disputes, love conquers hatred, and the desire for revenge ceases by forgiveness.” So I want we could live in peace and peace! Let us aid 1 another, not do bad to another. May our joy be the Risen Christ, who has overcome hatred and death! [...] Let the words accompany us
St. Paul in 1 Thessalonian Letter: “Sacrifice those who work among you... Make peace with each other! Teach the disobedient, rise the spirit of the fearful, take care of the weak, be knowing for everyone. Be careful that no 1 pays back.
Evil for evil, but always effort to do good to each another and to all men. Always rejoice! Pray incessantly!” (1 Thes. 5:12-17).
With all my heart I want you a healthy, joyful and full
Peace of the Christmas of Resurrection! I assure you of prayer, kindness and a pastoral blessing!’
