Krystyna Pawłowicz posted an entry on the X portal in which she described the situation after the Holy Mass in her parish. As she reported, volunteers of the large Orchestra of Christmas Charity came to the church. An ex-PIS MP decided to... pursuit them out.
Krystyna Pavlowicz has asked volunteers to WEDP
"Today in my parish, after the Mass I have asked 4-5 people from the church area from the Oatsiak party. With 2 another people, I stood with a can to gather funds to aid the families of the parish whose fire in the block completely destroyed the apartments. ALL the collected amount goes to help," wrote erstwhile justice of the Constitutional Court.
It appears from her entry that after being asked out, WOŚP volunteers decided to make their own fundraiser. As she stressed, the funds collected were to go to the parishioners who lost their roof over their heads as a consequence of the fire.
In her comments, Pavłowicz wrote a small more and was tirelessly responding to critics. She stressed that "the collecting money for the church did not enter the Mass", and volunteers were "after about 20", who "did not seem curious in the liturgy". She added that they were expelled "at the request of the parish priest, and "those fighting the Church are not welcome by the faithful in their parish."
The motif of the alleged "fight with the Church" appeared in the comments of the erstwhile PiS MP repeatedly. "Those from the offensive Catholic Church of Owsiak were already outside the parish area and who wanted to vote for their 'fight'. No 1 stopped them," Pawlowicz wrote.
"Please support whomever you want, proceed 'to fight sepsis', but Catholics, or even wider-Poles, must not be offended," she wrote to an net user who noted that "my goal is more crucial than yours." On another person's suggestion, "And you could stand by and collect. Not rush," erstwhile TK justice replied, "The Catholic Church cannot service the purposes of those fighting the Church. Let them start their own 'church' and collect from each other."
The right has been attacking WEDP and Jerzy Owsiak for years
Krystyna Pawłowicz's message fits into the years-long attack of any right-wing groups on Jerzy Owsiak and the large Orchestra of Christmas Charity. WOŚP regularly becomes the mark of criticism by right-wing politicians and commentators who undermine the Foundation's activities, its credibility or the very nature of the finals.
During the finals of the Orchestra, the scale of these attacks is clearly increasing. In addition to critical comments there are besides fake news, suggestions about alleged financial irregularities, aggressive entries directed at organizers and volunteers and hatred on the Internet, which is the subject of the consequence of the foundation itself and organizations monitoring hatred speech.
"I love looking at photos before and after. On 1 small, wrinkled, struggling body in the incubator, on the another – a kid playing ball, smiling, fulfilling dreams. All these photographs combine 1 – a red heart on equipment that saved their lives. If their sight does not shut the critics' mouth, then there is nothing left to talk to them about," writes Aleksandra Tchorzewska in the column "I don't support WŚP?" I'm disgusted by your run against Oatsiak in Thematic.
Despite controversy, the large Orchestra of Christmas Charity remains the largest cyclical charity initiative in Poland. This year's final is held under the motto "Healthy Stomachs of Our Children", and the collected funds are to be utilized for the acquisition of equipment for diagnostic and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in children. Just after 18 o'clock, the declared amount of the 34th final was PLN 70 562 981.
