On the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Dmitri Pieskov stated that Western engagement to aid Ukraine turned this conflict into a much wider start between Russia and Western states. At the same time, he added that Russia is theoretically ready to accomplish its objectives through diplomatic channels and that "it remains open" to specified solutions – but in the current situation the "special military operation" will continue.
