Kraków: Police stopped 2 men destroying signs about entering the SCT

The police detained 2 men who stole and destroyed traffic signs informing about entering the clean transport region in Krakow. These characters have been regularly destroyed by SCT opponents since its introduction, which is 1 January this year.

As the Krakow Police Press Officer, Kom. Piotr Szpiech, told today, 2 men aged 20 and 40 were detained in 1 of the sub-Krakow towns. In the process of searching 1 of the apartments, police found a stolen sign. Both detainees confessed to this act.

– Since this theft concerns things worth little than PLN 800, which constitutes a violation of the rules of the Code of Offence, both men were asked to be punished in court, which will decide on the punishment – the police officer said.

According to him, further actions are planned in relation to the theft and demolition of the signs with the established persons responsible.

Opponents of the clean transport region in Krakow regularly destruct signs informing about the entry into it from the beginning of these regulations, which is 1 January this year. respective twelve specified plates have been damaged so far, and the city is reporting specified events to the police.

The clean transport region in Krakow covers most of the city. Drivers of vehicles not complying with SCT requirements must pay to enter it.
