Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space and RADMOR announced the signing of an industrial cooperation agreement to make a geostationary telecommunications satellite for the Ministry of Defence. The event took place as part of the Polish-French relationship Day celebrations, highlighting the long-term industrial cooperation of both nations.
Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space and RADMOR join forces to build a fresh Polish military satellite. The signing of the cooperation agreement took place during a ceremony attended by French president Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, Polish Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish and French Minister of Armed Forces Catherine Vautrin.
— We are starting a fresh chapter in European space cooperation – on a scale that will let to supply a reliable strategy for the Armed Forces of Poland. RADMOR as part of the WB Group is arrogant to be among world-class partners, bringing its cognition and many years of experience in providing secure, resilient and critical satellite communication capabilities for the mission “the president of the board of RADMOR, Bartłomiej Zając, said.

As part of the "Readiness 2030" plan launched by the European Commission in 2025, the fresh geostationary satellite will supply safe communication to Polish armed forces, guaranteeing a very advanced level of resilience and resilience.
— This partnership is the essence of European cooperation. Joint action across borders for innovation and industrial competitiveness serves better communication and the safety of the world. It is besides another chapter in the multi-annual Airbus partnership with Polish armed forces and manufacture – stated the head of space systems department at Airbus Defence and Space, Alain Fauré.
In a time of high-intensity conflicts, in an increasingly disputed space, the comprehensive strategy will be cybernetically secured in the ground and orbital section and vulnerable, thereby contributing to strengthening Poland's sovereignty in space.
— We are arrogant to lead this strategical industrial cooperation by providing the Ministry of Defence with state-of-the-art safety communications solutions – said Hervé Derrey, president and CEO of Thales Alenia Space (joint venture Thales 67% and Leonardo 33%).
Partners will combine their capabilities in military communications, mission control, efficient plan and industrialisation of satellite platforms and safe ground infrastructure and cybersecurity.

— The decision to extend RADMOR's operations to the space sector is simply a natural step in the improvement of the company's competences, covering both the extension of the frequency scope and the expansion of the communication solution portfolio. The modern operational environment is closely integrated with space infrastructure, and the improvement of satellite communication competences will guarantee coherence, safety and resilience of communications across all operational domains. “ Bartholomew Hare added.
— This geostationary satellite task will embody the highest standards of resilience, cybersecurity and anti-interference technologies, reflecting our commitment to strengthening European defence sovereignty. Together with Airbus Defence and Space and RADMOR we will supply the Polish Armed Forces with a solid, comprehensive solution that responds to the challenges of today's complex safety environment – said president Hervé Derrey.
