Following the talk of Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenski on the end of the war in Ukraine, leaders of large Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Finland, European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte besides went to Washington. No typical of the Polish authorities attended the meeting. The presence of Prime Minister Donald Tusk was expected in Poland. The government stated that Nawrocki had a greater predisposition to contact with the current US administration; according to Prime Minister Trump demanded that Poland represent Nawrocki. The presidential center explained his absence, among others, by a bilateral gathering scheduled for September 3 in Washington. PiS politicians presented the position that Poland should have been represented by the Prime Minister, who took part in meetings of alleged coalitions of volunteers, whose aim is – they suggested – to send troops to Ukraine.
