It has been 50 years since Comrade Edward Babiuch (from 1972 to 1980 associate of the State Council and since 1976 deputy chairman) – on behalf of the PZPR Member's Club, he justified in the Polish Parliament the request for changes in the 1952 Constitution, approved by Józef Stalin himself. Comrade Babiuch said: "Constitutional confirmation is besides required by the principles of the global policy of the People's Poland, its membership in the planet socialist system, its inviolable brotherly relation with the russian Union".
Comrade Babiuch did not gotta convince the MPs of the United People's organization (ZSL) – the satellite party's PZPR to support the changes in the PRL Constitution throughout its scope on 10 February 1976. This amendment introduced the basic provisions on: the leading function of the PZPR in society and perpetual relationship and cooperation with the USSR. The only associate who abstained from voting (and protested against the changes) was Stanisław Stomma of the “Znak” ellipse of Members.
The final changes to the Stalinist Constitution have been somewhat softened thanks to social opposition and the "unbreakable alliance with the USSR" have been replaced “an inextricable bond of relationship between the Polish People's Republic and the russian Union”, and the suggested entry "PRP plays a leading function in the country", was replaced by: "The political leadership of society in the construction of socialism is the PPR".
After 50 years, another companion Edward Babiuch appeared in “free” Poland - in the individual of the leader of the Polish People's organization (PSL) - a satellite organization towards the Civic Coalition. This is Kosiniak-Kamish, who on the Day of the Constitution on May 3, 2026 justified the request for amendments to the 1997 Constitution, approved by comrade Alexander Kwasniewski himself: ‘W The constitutions are clearly defined – only compliance is required. If the basic law needs to be clarified, this is to strengthen our security. Therefore, let us enter membership of the European Union into the Constitution! Let us establish our presence in the Community as 1 of the foundations of safety and development. As many another countries have done, for example France, Finland and Lithuania. It is simply a warrant that no irresponsible individual will get us out of the safety zone!” “Convinced by the satellite leader towards the KO party...
However, it must be admitted that Kosiniak-Kamish has not yet proposed that the acidic Constitution should state that "the political force of society in building a fighting democracy is the civilian Coalition". But Kraków did not deserve Mishalski right away!
It must besides be admitted that, supported by the ZSL in 1976, the "unbreakable bond of relationship between the Polish People's Republic and the russian Union", was nothing compared to what is proposed present to include in the Constitution the leader of the satellite Kosiniak-Kamish party. due to the fact that even in 1976, Comrade Edward Babiuch did not propose on behalf of the PZPR that PRL become the 17th republic of the USSR! Kosiniak-Kamish, however, proposes to get free of Poland's sovereignty, as eternal membership of the European Union will mean the function of Poland as a European land - with full consequences! This applies to European law, defence and currency – although in the second case it will only apply to prices in euro but not to wages and pensions...
