Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish began an authoritative visit to Kiev. At the first point of his Ukrainian program he paid tribute to the fallen soldiers in the war against Russia.

During his stay, the Polish minister will meet with the head of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Denys Szmyhal. According to MON, politicians will talk about "military cooperation, further support for defending Ukraine and safety situation in the context of Russian aggression".

Ukrainian willingness to cooperate

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian MFA Heorhi Tychyj informed that this week a visit of the Polish delegation at advanced level is expected after an incidental with Russian drones in Poland's airspace. He explained that the Polish delegation intends to learn about Ukrainian experiences in fighting drones.

"I think further details will be provided by the Ministry of Defence and the Minister of Defence (Ukraine)" - Tychyj said. He besides stressed that Ukraine is ready to share its military experience with Poland.

Joint training planned

According to sources akin to the MON, talks are presently underway about the organization of joint training of Polish and Ukrainian military experts from the drone fight. The precedence will be to combat enemy drones.

The training is to take place in Poland and not in Ukraine, as the interviewer points out. This applicable solution will let Polish experts to learn straight from Ukrainian specialists.
