Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz (PSL) declared his readiness to meet with president Karol Nawrocki on the draft law on the position of the nearest person. The head of PSL confirmed on Thursday at TVN24 that he was ready for specified a gathering with the MP of PSL Ursula Pasławska, who participated in the preparation of the project.
Kosiniak-Kamysz assured that the solutions provided for in the task "did not even pass the ellipse of marriage" and are designed to not match the protected constitution of the institution of marriage. The Deputy Prime Minister recalled at the same time that Nawrocki during his election run "promised to sign" a task concerning the position of the closest person.
President's position on the
In Kosiniak-Kamysz's opinion, the task has the chance to gain broad support in the Sejm, besides on the "right side of the Sejm room". "We are ready to talk to parliamentarians, citizens and the President" - noted the Deputy Prime Minister.
President Nawrocki expressed his willingness on Monday to discuss the position of the closest person, but with conditions. "If we can aid people, regardless of their gender, regardless of their relationship, relationships, age, to deal with certain matters in Poland, I am open to specified a discussion. On the another hand, if we want to discuss any matrimony or ideological issues which are expected to hit the constitutional order of the Republic, then I am not ready for this" - said Nawrocki.
Details of the government project
Details of the government's draft law on the position of the closest individual in the relation and the joint-life agreement were presented jointly by the leaders of PSL and Left at the end of last week. Among another things, the task regulates property relations, housing and alimony rights and access to medical information.
Pasławska assured that the task excludes worldview issues, and takes into account "different sensitivity". He omits issues related to children - adoption and care - and besides "does not violate in any way or harm the institution of marriage". She added that the contract could be treated as a premarital contract and that matrimony would automatically terminate it.
The draft law on the position of the nearest individual and the joint-life agreement will replace the draft law on partnerships published on the pages of the Government Legislative Centre last October.
