President Trump will award a soldier the Medal of Honor. Kosiniak-Kamysz late asked president Karol Nawrocki to award Ollis the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. He called his death a symbol of the brotherhood of arms. "Polish and American soldiers fought together and made the ultimate sacrifice together. Poland will never forget this!" - wrote the head of the Ministry of Defense. Michael Ollis died in August 2013, saving a Polish colleague during a Taliban attack on a Ghazni base.
