In the Polish Army, a corps of army of unmanned weapons systems will be built, and in it groups of positions for soldiers serving, for example, land, air and sea systems of this kind. This is another phase in the improvement of the operational capabilities of armed forces, linked to the increasing function of modern technologies in military activities, including those utilizing unmanned workers.

The service stations occupied by professional soldiers are grouped into alleged individual corps (e.g. land troops, navy or territorial defence troops). They separate between personnel groups (e.g. staff, aeromobile, armored-mechanized, onboard, pilots, doctors) and then even more detailed specialities, assigned to peculiar types of troops, separate for officers, sub-commissioners and professional serials. As a result, each professional soldier is assigned to 1 of the corps, a peculiar individual group and a peculiar speciality.
The drones are increasing
Every now and then, the Ministry of National Defence updates the list of military positions. The main reasons are most frequently modernization of the army, buying fresh equipment, expanding structures or military capabilities. Yes, it is this time. The Ministry of National Defence has prepared a draft of changes in regulations, the most crucial component of which is the creation of a fresh – 21st – corps of personnel of unmanned weapons systems. "The fresh solution is the effect of developing the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of Poland to operate with unmanned weapons systems. The aim is to improve the effectiveness of action and to improve the quality of the prevention of threats in the air, land and sea", stressed representatives of the MON.
A full of six individual groups, including staff, BSU systems and unmanned weapons systems, will be included in the fresh body. It will besides feature a group of circulating ammunition, which is now assigned to the corps of individual territorial defence troops.
A full of 85 specialities are planned in the corps for officers, enlisted officers and professional privates. These will include positions for unmanned strategy operators (land, sea and air), Class I BSP pilots, Aerostats or circular ammunition operators, as well as BSU support systems specialists, training equipment and simulators. The current specialities concerning the operation of unmanned aircraft located in groups: rocket and artillery (ground military corpus) and general designation (electronic reconnaissance and combat corpus) will be incorporated into the recently created corps.
From a specialist in precision to a choirboy
It's not the only change proposed in the project. In the air force corps, the existing group of "unmanned aircraft and mark indication" will be replaced by a fresh group called "unmanned Class II and III aircraft".
There are besides changes to the logistics corps. The material group will feature a fresh specialty of "precision ammunition" intended for officers liable for securing the operation of modern, technologically advanced combat measures.

In the individual method group, 2 specialities will be new. The first concerns positions related to incremental production (layer by layer, frequently based on a digital 3D model) and will be provided for officers, officers and privates. The second in this group was the speciality of "class B drivers" for the enlisted officers. As the MON informs, it will be possible to clearly indicate in the papers a position requiring driving powers without the request to mention each time to the records of the authoritative posts.
In the Army Police Corps, a fresh speciality for officers was introduced in the prevention group: ‘road traffic’. Until now, this specialty has been attributed only to the officers and privates. A fresh specialty will besides appear in the educational corps, in a group of orchestras and phase bands. The current speciality of "music" will be joined by a "chorist", a proposal for sub-commissioners and privates. This change is related to the functioning of specified positions in the typical structure of the Polish Army Artistic Team.
Privates besides in administration
The MON task besides assumes changes in the general corps in the military administration group. Currently, only officers and sub-commissioned officers are present in the military administration group. After the changes of the "general" speciality position, they will besides be able to cover the professional series. "The change will make it possible to clearly indicate in the staff papers the positions in military recruitment centres for recruiting soldiers. This solution will besides let the head of the Central Military Recruitment Centre to better plan the further professional improvement of soldiers within this individual group," the representatives of the MON explained.
In fresh years, regulations on corps, groups and specialties have been amended respective times. In 2020, for example, a corps of territorial defence troops appeared in the military, and 2 years later specialities were created, among others, a cargo drop teacher or light infantry sniper. In 2023, due to the introduction of M1A2 Abrams and K2 Black Panther tanks into the Polish Army cargo specialities or drivers of these vehicles have appeared. The following year they joined the list of specialities in the individual body of designation and electronic combat ‘satellite recognition’ and ‘satellite earth reflection systems’.
