South Korea: Government announces resignation, presidential advisors resign

The consequence of chaos is simply a wave of resignation in the highest circles of power. At least 10 presidential advisors, including Chung Jin-suk's head of the presidential office and Shin Won-sik's national safety advisor, have resigned to Prime Minister Han Duck-soo. The leader of the ruling organization Han Dong-hoon besides called for the resignation of defence minister Kim Yong-hyun, who was to propose martial law, and the full government. The expulsion of the president from the organization was besides considered, but this proposal did not gain adequate support.
