At the U.S. Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, about 60 km south of South Korea's capital, Seoul, there was a white phosphorus spill on Tuesday, reported local media.
Authorities have ordered a short-term evacuation of local residents. The situation was rapidly contained and no casualties were reported.
